Hey Dev, are there any Sneeks or a date for the next update?

Hi Proton

In short, 3-4 months from August 4th 2024. Here's the summary and I put all the details on the links below :

• The next plot relevant sex scene is 3 chapters away. Since this is F95 and divinity is a porn game, I doubt the reaction would be nice if an update is released without any new sex scene
• A non interlude chapter needs about 60-70 renders (which is all 3 of them)
• Currently I'm at 50-ish render and about 1K text for the first chapter, both of which are on my 2nd iteration, so I don't think that 50+ renders will go through any more major changes, so I'm looking at needing 2.5 more weeks (I hope..) for this chapter
• Right now (as in...in this very moment), I'm working out the kinks in the text for the 50ish renders as I integrate them into renpy and reading them again...and again...and again...
• Once a chapter's done, I usually askbeg my RL friends to read them so I can fix some minor things and possible inconsistencies. This usually takes a week, but can be done in parallel with working on the next chapter

And I like it alot somehow your game remind me of this game Dogma, it's tough to understand everything at first release but really love it!

I'll try to explain what that language is and its relevance in the story. Because this touches on the backstory of the worldbuilding, I will put them in multiple level of spoilers tag.

I have also read your review, and wow, you're a tough customer, but I kinda expected your reaction about the MC hahaha. He is ... not your usual MC, to put it mildly

As for the UI, just in case you missed them :

which should solve the "please allow me to make the text go faster" and the quick nav button at the bottom.

For the Throne room and chapter select, yeah, I was hoping to add some sex scenes for the servant that can be accessed from the throne room (a sort of "daily life sex" as opposed to "plot related sex" that is in the books) to show the reader why I made them that way, but I'm not sure I have enough time to put it on the next update

I didn't said I dislike the MC, it's just I can't say anything about him, but he seems pretty decent to me.
Edit:- indeed he's not our usual wimp MC, he's at least not a pathetic wimp at all.

Hahaha, yeah...I can get a bit too excited to talk about the plot, even the part that haven't been released hahaha

But usually I keep it "safe", as in the actual interesting point is not shown in those teasers

But I agree, I can be a bit over generous with the possible spoilers hahahaha

Have you tried clicking on the symbol on the throne? the one with the slightly swirling background.


It should become slightly brighter when you mouse over it.

One of my tester also had the same problem because his screen brightness was set to really low Still haven't found a way to make them really pop out without :

• addressing you as "a player of the game", instead of "the MC", or
• making it stand out too much when it appears on the left and right side of the screen and making the screen a bit too cluttered.

It's for titles like this one that I keep coming back here, it's a good reminder that there are people out there making genuinely good VN's. When you can feel the passion seeping through the end result, you know you'll be rewarded for your commitment, I appreciate the mutual respect of everyone's time.

The writing, the attention to details, the depictions, the story & plot, all great I give them my utmost appraisal.

I like your approach on the structural level too, it's refreshing and doesn't feel out of place.

On a side note I kind of regret the absence of a background track after the prologue, even something simple I feel like would be a nice complement to the overall atmosphere, idk, ethereal silent hill inspired ambient music or smt That's just me tho, and it's a minor detail if I had to find something to be picky about.

So thank you for your time and effort, I hope this brings you as much enjoyment as it does to the people enjoying your work, and I sincerely wish for a prosperous future upon this Divinity

As always, I'm extremely happy to find more people who enjoyed my writing (the part where i'm the weakest actually haha), and a bit anxious if I could achieve the same quality in a shorter time 0_0

I'm glad you find the Hub and Books to be nice too. That part is actually the part where I enjoyed the most to see them all come together, due to the necessary coding to make those haha

Your comment about the ambience actually pushed me to start looking a little bit more with new queries (ethereal silent hill->fallen lament) and I've found a couple of candidates that were not really what I was envisioning (i was looking for a solo female ambient music with minimal instruments, and of course, copyright free, to convey some of the themes) and instead i found some quiet piano ambient tracks, but they sounds pretty promising... at least to my 4 AM mind hahaha I'll have to listen to test them on the actual scene for a couple more hours to be sure though

The three things that I have to rely on copyright free materials are fonts, musics, and HS2 mods hahaha

So thank you for your time and effort, I hope this brings you as much enjoyment as it does to the people enjoying your work, and I sincerely wish for a prosperous future upon this Divinity
